LASERHAM
LASERHAM
One of the first things I learned after Dietz & Watson became a client was that they just so happen to own a meat laser. That is, a laser that can engrave whatever you want into their premium meats. After countless failed pitches to use said laser, I came across a sadly-since-deleted tweet from Michael Ian Black asking “Has anyone invented a laser that can etch your face onto ham? It would be called LaserHam.” At long last, I’d finally found my opportunity.
Amazingly, 24 hours later, Michael Ian Black's face was lasered onto a honey glazed ham and into the Internet Hall of Fame.
This was a Shorty Awards Finalist for the “Best Branded Real-Time Response to A Major Event or Cultural Phenomenon” category, and won a handful of other trophies including a One Show Merit Award, “Best Real-Time Marketing” Mashie, Best in Show Non-Traditional at the Philadelphia ADDYs, and a Louix from the Art Directors Club.
